ʻĀina Momona is happy to announce that we have received funding for our Keawanui Food System Revitalization Project, provided by the Hawai‘i Tourism Authority through the Aloha ‘Āina Program, administered by the Hawai‘i Community Foundation.
The Aloha ‘Āina Program supports projects that ensure Hawai‘i’s natural and cultural resources are managed, improved, and protected in perpetuity. As we strive to move away from our overdependence on the extractive tourism industry, it is crucial that HTA and other foundations continue to invest in community organizations that actively protect and preserve our resources, culture, and environment.
Mahalo nui to HTA and HCF for the award and support to continue our work revitalizing traditional food systems at Keawanui Fishpond and Cultural Learning Center! We look forward to a productive year of mālama ʻāina work!
